a 14 year old girl and a man killed in a house... little did anyone predict the quantum of the events that have unfolded... i always wonder .... does man really lack providence of all his actions?? i seriously doubt that... anyway every time i hear the probe being mentioned on tv , which is almost every time i change through the news channels, i cringe and am ashamed of myself for having heard it.... it is appalling to say the least... first to believe that there could a reason for a father to kill his own daughter , then to actually proclaim the notion that there could be such a reason and that could in fact be the motive , and lastly the very nerve(of all institutions) to actually promulgate the perception just to get more air time and sell their enterprise is a cause of grave retrospection on our ideas and points of view.... i am not saying that one should not bring the news up but they could surely find better and more nice topics to discuss for 4-5 hours on the trot than how there could have been a possibility that a father could have caused the death of his daughter... don`t we have anything better to discuss in a nation of 100billion people... or is it just because it is hot,sensitive so it sells so we do it... the leads me to my next wondering ...
when have we, as a civilization of such rich heritage and culture, ever been bothered of whether it sells or not?? can`t we find anything that sells other than a rape or father murdering daughter or IPL ?? what is INDIAN in any of these.... definitely the TV channels should have more ethical and moral responsibilities... ok even with all these they could surely do without character assassination of both the child and the parents..... even if he had committed the crime i don`t think anyone deserves this kind of treatment...
to just show the difference of attitude ... once when Ex-President of India was in Iraq during the war he saw the papers` headlines saying IRAQ BEATS YUGOSLAVIYA in euro qualifier...
this was in spite of a war in Iraq .... now that news was mentioned in the center page in black and white with the correct figure all casualties...this is positive attitude of press...
it is hard to assimilate that the fact that a country which is claimed to be the raising superpower along with china and is the biggest democracy in the world and the with such a booming economy has no better issues on hand other than these murders or IPL to discuss.... the least i can say is the attitude of the media has to change... now people might say that many are interested in knowing why or how a father will kill his daughter.... my petition is simple .. please give viewers more credit than that .... if u give them something more interesting they might actually like it and demand more of it than this crazy shit...
well i used to think with all the corruption , bureaucracy and red tape the country is going to the dogs .....but sadly i can`t contemplate where the country is heading now.... frankly i think dogs would have done a better job!!!!!
